ELUG Mailing List Information
Please if you are new to mailing lists, even some of the linux rookies!, read the newbie intro. The subscription details give more details on what to do to join. please would everyone from time to time try to read the 'Mailing list etiquette'.
Please respect some guidelines:
Once you have subscribed and you email to the list, your email may be publically archived in our archives but currently the archives are private to subscribers only. Please do not send confidential, private, copyrighted, religious, racial, sexist, email addresses, illegal, etc information to the mailing list. Emails will not be manually removed from the archive. If any abuse of the mailing list is suspected you may/will be forcefully removed. Please work together to make the list a pleasant experience for everyone. ELUG will in no way be held responsible for any damage caused by advice/tips from the mailing list, directy or indirectly. Think before making any changes to a critical machine/pc, ALWAYS HAVE A BACKUP!
Please dont send commercial offers to the list, offers of your own personal odds and ends is acceptable but we must keep company specials off list. Harvesting of email addresses completely unacceptable, if anyone is caught they will be forcefully removed and any further action deemed necessary will be taken.
In Summary, this list is for everyone to have a pleasant, helpful, fulfilling experience, please lets keep it that way. We are a warm bunch anyways so please don't be put off by these few guidelines.
